Baby Loves Disco

Hi Everyone!

Today Eli and his friends got to go to the club!  A few months ago, our friend Delilah told us about a "baby club" experience, called "Baby Loves Disco".  We were very intrigued since Eli loves to dance.  We went to check out their website (babylovesdisco.com) and purchased some tickets.  We also spread the word so that some of Eli's friends could join us for the fun.

It's really funny because all of the kids reacted different. Eli and Aaron were a little hesitant at first, but Sander jumped right in and started shaking his booty right away! One of the things I liked about the disco was that they set aside a play area for the little ones that were not interested in dancing.  Eli's friend Tiago wasn't too much into the dance floor so he got a chance to play in the toy area.  They also had arts and crafts set up as well.  Eli got his first tattoo, created a sock monkey, and spun a wheel at the Plum table where they were giving away snacks.
What I loved most about the experience is that there are plenty of snacks to go around for adults and the kids. The bar was full of cheese, fruit, vegetable platters, chips and dips, and organic juices.  You could also purchase "adult beverages" as well, if you were in the mood.

The only cons that I did notice was that it can get a little crowded since tickets are sold out.  The kids get a little rowdy in the toy area and might have difficulty sharing.  In addition the age group is from 6 months and up so you have to watch the little ones so they won't get accidentally hurt by the older kids.  Also you just don't know how your child will react.  It's a large crowd, there is a lot going on, and there is loud music playing.  Some children may not like this environment and become over stimulated and cranky.  When we noticed that Eli was becoming overwhelmed we took him for a breather to a "cool" area in the club, and let him relax before he went back out on the dance floor.  Overall it was a very good experience and it's something we are open to try again :)
Needless to say that at the end of the three hours Eli was ready for a nap!

We want to thank everyone that came out with us! You guys helped us have a very special day :)

Luv

Eli & Mommy
