We have been very busy over the summer trying to enjoy every bit of the warm weather before fall kicks in.
A month ago we traveled to New Jersey and took Eli to a fair for the first time. It was a really nice experience and Eli was extra excited since his grandma, grandpa, auntie and cousin joined us. There are some things that I was expecting at the fair which was the kiddie rides, cotton candy, and games. What I was not expecting was the amount of wild animals they had there. Many of you who know me, know that I can be sensitive about how animals are treated.
Anyway Eli really enjoyed the animals (wasn't my favorite part).
Eli got to feed a tiger with my mother:
Eli also got to ride a pony, and even an Elephant. ( I was really sad about the Elephant since the weather was incredibly hot and they kept making it go round and round) I had initially given back the ticket but Eli started to cry so my mother took the ride with him. I can't wait till Eli is able to understand why it's so important that our wild animals should be left where they belong in the wild.
Last but not least Eli also got to ride on some kiddie rides for the first time. I think this was one of his favorite things and would cry when it was time to get off.
Also in New Jersey is a really cool exhibit that we took Eli to visit today. It's called Field Station: Dinosaurs. This place is a Dinosaur exhibit unlike any other. The Dinosaurs move, and roar, and are very life like. Eli was a bit scared at first but was amazed with the dinosaurs. He loved them so much he went to bed tonight with the T Rex we bought him! It always brings a smile to my face, when he get's to experience new exciting things. Here are some of our favorite pictures from today (Thanks Alla for suggesting this exhibit).
With only 1 month left to enjoy "summer", what are you guys looking forward to before fall moves in?
We have to plan another trip to the beach before it's too late :(
XoXo
