I can't believe how quickly 10 months can go by. It was just like yesterday that Eli went into the double digits and turned 10 months. I remember trying to come up with a clever way to commemorate the moment. All I could do was stick him in his hamper, and tape a paper on it so that he wouldn't grab it and eat it. Eli then turned it into a game of peek a boo and popped out of the hamper smiling. This is what came out of that:
10 months later, Eli is not a baby anymore, and now he is 4 months away from being two! I decided to re-do the same photo to see how much Eli has changed... Once again Eli turned it into a game of peek a boo and this is how it turned out:
How they grow so fast! 10 months can do a whole lot of difference :( If you're wondering why Eli's face is looking slimmer these days it's thanks to the "big boy" hair cut he got last week... I'm still adjusting.
In other news Eli is recuperating from a throat infection that gave him 102-103 fevers for the past two days. He also has not been wanting to eat, and I feel like he's lost a pound in the process. We took Eli to see the doctor yesterday and he prescribed Eli his first antibiotics. I'm not a fan of giving Eli medicine but I also understand he needs it to get better.
While at the doctor we took some time to catch up on Eli's development. Dr. Dagli was very impressed when we asked Eli who the President of the United States is and Eli said "Onama". At 20 months Eli can make over 15 different animal sounds, and can say over 25 words. Eli is a parrot and repeats everything. When Doctor Dagli was examining him he asked Dr. Dagli to "stop". Eli is at the stage where he is expressing his needs and expects for them to be met right away LOL Of course all was well in Eli's world after Dr. Dagli gave him a lollipop. It's fun to watch his personality flourish right before our eyes.
The doctor also took Eli's measurements. He is now 26 lbs, and 33 Inches tall. He is close to the 50th percentile for his age which makes him an average 20 month old.
For now Eli's fever has subsided and we hope that he's ready to see the HUGE surprise we have planned for him this Sunday!
As always we look forward to sharing with you guys :)
Luv
Eli & Mommy
